![]() ![]() I really do like Obzedat, Ghost Council as a design, that's a suggestion that would have completely slipped so I very much appreciate it. As an added bonus, they have double pips in both white and black, which can be helpful for building up devotion to Nykthos. As far as I can tell, these two are the only ones who are 2 or less colors, have white in their color identity, and don't require additional mana ( Siona, Captain of the Pyleas can fetch all the auras out of your deck, which will certainly have some way of comboing built in, but you'd still have to cast them, for example). So, if you have a general whose ETB ability can kill the table when repeated infinite times, well, that simplifies things. They're 2 colors, but the primary thing that drew me to them was the fact that Opalescence/ Parallax Wave doesn't win the game on its own, but it does provide infinite blinking. So, I have a pair of oddball suggestions: Ghost Council of Orzhova or Obzedat, Ghost Council. I don't think there's a great mono-white option here outside of Heliod, God of the Sun, and that might ultimately be the right way to go, but I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts. I'm open to 1-3 colors, but kinda prefer 1-2 for this build, since going 1-2 colors would enable me to splash and keep Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx potentially relevant. ![]() Golos was a bit overpowering to be honest, because of his ability to make up for any bad draw by doing golos things. Much like my prior thread for Living Plane I'm a bit at a loss as to the most fun deck to build around this concept. You can do things like make infinite mana by blinking your own Gilded Lotus with Oblivion Ring. This combo has some fragility issues but it's one that I just really dig, because of how it doesn't require a bad third card to work and uses enchantments to do all kinds of nonsense. If they don't want you to shortcut, the steps above will keep you safe. One of my favorite ever of my Golos, Tireless Pilgrim decks was the mono white one that focused on assembling a bunch of enchantments and Serra's Sanctum or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to power out a Plea for Guidance for the opalesence combo. Once you've demonstrated this a few times you can just ask your table the next time if you can shortcut it all or if they have any responses. If they destroy your wave then, it doesn't matter anymore Finish off with your most important creature. If they don't have any responses continue with your more important ones.Blink your least important creature indefinitely.just using my remaining fading counters to exile some more ETB creatures I own and let the wave go.use 1 fading counter to just remove my wave (although that will result in my creature staying exiled). You can try this once since you should have 3 counters left after your initial actions. using 2 fading counters to repeat the process. If they destroy my wave in response I have the choice of: Exile my own wave first, in response exile a creature I want to blink. Once I've shown the table that I can execute the loop indefinitely unless they have 4 destroy effects (1 more than the amount of fading counters left), I will remove everything to my liking. If noone responds you let the stack resolve. This leaves me 3 fading counters to exile my own wave again in response to any Disenchant shenanigans. To be safe I normally remove 1 creature at a time, so creature A, then wave. This will result in everything staying exiled and your wave destroyed. In the Wood Elves example above, if an opponent has a Disenchant, for example, they can respond to you exiling the elves by destroying your wave. To add, just be careful when blinking your own stuff. Tl Dr: Everything you exile before exiling your own wave stays exiled, everything you exile in response to the wave being exiled is blinked. Resulting in creature A, B, C being removed and your Wave plus Wood Elves entering back in play. Return To play everything exiled with Wave. This results in the leaves play ability immediately entering the stack on top of the existing effects. Resolve the next trigger to exile the Wave. Resolve the first trigger and Wood Elves will be exiled. The stack will look as follows (Last In, First Out): Opponent has 3 creatures in play, A, B and C, so this will be your line of play: Yay Parallax Wave shenanigans! Assume you have the following in play: ![]()
